The Millennium Dome | Konica Centuria 200
Ever wondered what was inside the O2 Arena back in 2000 when it was the Millennium Dome (an exhibition celebrating the third millennium)? Well, back in 1999 I was studying neuroscience at UCL, and we (my future wife and I) visited the newly opened Millennium Dome during it’s opening week. With my camera (Pentax MZ 50) in hand and some rolls of Konica Centuria 200 colour film, I snapped away at all the weird and wonderful exhibits inside (entitled: who we are, what we do and where we live) and attractions inside.
Although a budget film (available at the time for £1 in most supermarkets), Konica Centuria 200 35mm film scans really easy and produces great colours / contrast.
Here’s a small selection.
For those interested, the negatives were scanned using the Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 film scanner and VueScan (scanner software). Small tonal, exposure and WB adjustments were subsequently made in Adobe Camera Raw.
