Blackpool | Fuji C200 / Kodak Tri-X 400
Most years we head off to Blackpool to view the illuminations. This time I took my Canon EOS-3 (and 50mm f1.8 lens) instead of the Contax G2, with a selection of budget colour 35mm film (e.g., Fuji C200) and a few rolls of out-of-date Kodak Tri-X 400 black & white 35mm film. Even though the Fuji film was cheap – it still produced some decent images. It was easy to scan and did not require much colour / tonal correction after inverting to a positive image. Black & white film is always easy to scan and invert to a positive image.
All photos were taken with the Canon EOS-3 SLR and 50mm f1.8 lens, with Fuji C200 35mm colour film and Kodak Tri-X 400 black & white 35mm film. Negatives were scanned with VueScan using the Minolta DiMAGE Scan Elite 5400 film scanner. Small tonal and exposure adjustments were made in Adobe Camera Raw.
Here’s a small selection. Enjoy!
